Monopoly

I contacted them about selling to an animal clinic because the product is very good and I wanted to try it for animals. I checked with all 4 veterinarians here and they said the ingredients are good for animals.

Well....when they finally called back after two attempts and 4 weeks had gone by, the "gentleman" on the phone couldn't have been more condescending, "we only sell to dentists, we just want to sell to dentists". When I attempted to explain why we wanted it (good for the animals and a natural product), he abruptly cut me off again. I really don't understand why they are so adament because he certainly wasn't going to take a moment to explain it.

The point is every time I call them (I used to work for a dental office) they are rude or act as though I am putting them out. Is this what happens when you are the only game in town? Is being from the Northeast an excuse to treat people like dirt? Do you realize how many dentist charge an arm and a leg for this product. Animal owners are not willing to go to the dentist for this and pay the kind of fees that human patients pay.

I have offered to get this product for a couple of clients who are desperate (not that that mattered in the least to the Dental Herb Co) to try something for the animals breath. Does anyone know where I can purchase it fairly cheaply?? Thanks for your efforts. As you can see I am frustrated by attempting to do the right thing and getting the corporate mentallity from a business which is heading in that direction. Thanks again

Dental Herb Company toothpaste

I've been using this stuff for about 10 years now, and wouldn't switch on a bet. It's kind of a pain to get (since I've twice moved since away from the dentist in NJ who handled it) but well worth it - I order 6 tubes at a time and keep it in the refrigerator until opening the tube - it keeps well. Now, I can't stand the taste of soap (sodium lauryl sulfate) and sugar (whether organic or saccharine sweeteners) in "regular" toothpastes, and would miss the really fresh mouth feeling that lasts quite a while. Oops - time to order another 6 tubes from NJ! (Is it illegal to import toothpaste into Colorado?;)

Breath freshening toothpaste

I started using this toothpaste only recently, and I love it. It's got a great taste but none of the chemicals I like to avoid in toothpaste, like sodium lauryl sulfate (a foaming agent that some think may be linked to cancer, though I don't believe there are any definitive studies) and flouride (which has been increasingly controversial, banned in some countries, and may even be bad for your teeth). Basically, I like this stuff because I think I'm getting something more natural than the stuff in Tom's of Maine (which has sodium lauryl sulfate and, sometimes, flouride) and more commerical toothpastes.
